One Year after Moose’s Car Accident

Today is just a few days past the one year mark of the day Moose slipped his collar, ran off after a cat, and got hit by a landscaping truck. What a year it’s been! I still get a twinge of guilt sometimes, looking at his little tail-less butt and thinking that I could have gotten a harness sooner, or somehow stopped him from darting off after the cat in the bushes. Michele and I both have blogged before about the car accident that involved Hulk Hogan’s son Nick and one of his best friends, John Graziano. Nick, who had gotten many speeding tickets before the near fatal car crash, was recently sentenced to 8 months in prison and 3 years probation. If Sandra Bullock’s husband Jesse James were a cat, by my calculations he would only have about five lives left. The “Monster Garage” star has not only survived numerous motorcycle accidents and an attempt last year by some whacked out fan to plow him over with her Mercedes, but now word has it that James has also escaped serious injuries in a drunk driving accident. And in this corner… the family of John Graziano, the 23-year-old former Marine who was critically injured in car crash involving Hogan’s son Nick. Ding. Ding. On Friday morning, Moose did his patented head-twist and slipped himself free of his collar. Then he spotted a cat in the landscaping and took off.
