Celebrating the Finalization of Adoption

The long awaited day finally is approaching when the adoption case will be closed and you will have gained the rights that other mother and fathers are entitled to with their children. Woot! Yesterday, I told you to make Monday – My Day and I did just that – after getting my morning work done and taking in a couple of meetings – I retreated from a day at the computer to spending the day with my daughter. Special Occasion T-shirts

I’ve thrown a lot of birthday parties in my time, and part of my job is coming up with original and fun birthday party ideas. But the T-shirts I made at the last minute for my son’s tenth birthday party is the thing that everyone still talks about, so it obviously made the biggest impression of everything I’ve done. A Shabbat Experience

Known for the weekly holiday of rest and reflection. For many who honor and recognize this weekly holiday, it’s a time to spend with family, friends, loved ones, and maybe most importantly themselves. Shabbat starts sundown on Friday night, when three stars can be seen in the sky and ends on Saturday night an hour after sundown. This is also called Havdalah. Some celebrate the holiday by observing prayer at synagogue or shul by reviewing the weekly portion (parsha) of the torah.
