Monday Photo Challenge – Up Close and Personal

I am thoroughly addicted to close-up photography. I love filling the entire frame with the subject, eliminating distracting background and really highlighting my subject matter. Each Monday, I post a challenge that you can choose to do, or you can choose not to do. It is up to you. My hope is that when you do the photo challenges, it is getting you to think outside the box, and obviously to take more photographs. I want you to truly play with your camera, get to know it better. I want you to try out new angles, lighting techniques and more. … Continue reading

Scrapbooker’s often get into a rut when it comes to specific pictures. They envision this amazing layout, and the inspiration to create it just never comes. Pantry Challenge: Italian!

It is day two of my personal pantry challenge. Last night, the helper enchiladas went over pretty well. Here is what we are using up today. Breakfast was english muffins thawed last night from the freezer. I toasted them and topped them with peanut butter, and we had some very ripe strawberries on the side. I’m glad of this challenge, because the strawberries might … Continue reading

Scrapbook Challenge: Use Some Old Photos

Scrapbook Some Older Photos When I am scrapbooking, I am usually preserving photos of a special time from one of my kids’ lives. But I decided to challenge myself to go back through old photos and choose a few to scrapbook from my own life. Luckily even before I really got into the paper and embellishment fun of scrapbooking, I was interested in taking pictures and organizing them in albums. Since the pictures were already organized, it was easy to go back and choose a few that would be fun to scrapbook. For both of the following layouts, I really … Continue reading
