Fruitastic Desserts

Whenever I feel particularly overwhelmed by life’s curveballs I console myself by remembering that I am the mother of a young child who would happily choose fresh fruit over chocolate any day. (Hey, whatever helps you get through the day, right?) As a result, I tend to seek out dessert recipes, which feature fruit as a natural sweetener, versus ones that are dripping with chocolate, caramel or other artificial flavors. My mom always made a big deal about the first day back to school… in a good way. Super Easy Cobblers

To me, there is no better dessert than an easy cobbler served while hot – with ice cream if you really want to be decadent! Here are two super easy recipes I hope you enjoy! Easy Cherry Cobbler For this recipe, you will need butter or margarine, a 6.25 ounce package of White Lily Buttermilk Biscuit Mix (or Bisquick will do), sugar, milk, and a 20 ounce can of cherry pie filling. Cheery Cherry Festivals

I cannot tell a lie… I don’t really like cherries. However, I live in a state where besides beer, bratwurst, cheese, and the Green Bay Packers… cherries are a way of life. They are a major Wisconsin commercial export and over the years area residents have found some unique ways to integrate the red fruit into their daily diets (see recipe below).
