The month of January we are focusing on cleaning.  So far I have talked about developing a seasonal cleaning plan, supplies for seasonal cleaning and developing a deep cleaning plan. Part of housekeeping is making sure that your house is in order but if your cleaning supplies aren’t, then you just might be wasting space. Some schools are beginning to understand the importance of going green, but if you suspect yours is still living in the Dark Ages, here are a few questions you may want to ask the teacher, the principal, or the school board: 10. Household Products

Sometimes making your own supplies, or substituting everyday items for certain products, is not only a good way to save money or prevent waste, but is also a lot quicker and easier than running out to the store. Get Creative When over the counter medications were being changed to remove dangerous ingredients, we were told to get rid of older products. I dumped some effervescent tablets (like Alka Seltzer) into the toilet. They bubbled up and cleaned the toilet. At least they weren’t a complete waste of money!
