I could make a terrible tie-in between the following sad travel incident and the fact that Delta Airlines just announced it will now be charging passengers on domestic flights $50 to check in a second bag, but out of respect for Michaele Carnahan, I will restrain myself. According to news reports, the 61-year-old was found dead in the restroom of a Delta Airlines plane shortly before the aircraft landed in Atlanta yesterday morning. Breastfeeding At 35,000 Feet = High-Flying Controversy

I’ve breastfed my child on numerous flights—have you? One woman did recently and claims she was kicked off her flight as a result. Now the mom from New Mexico has secured an attorney and has filed complaints against two airlines. According to news reports, Emily Gillette, a 27-year-old mother from Santa Fe, New Meixco, filed the complaint with the Vermont Human Rights Commission late last week against Delta Air Lines and Freedom Airlines. Okay, air travelers, which do want first—the good news or the bad? Let’s start with the good (perhaps, it’ll soften the blow of the bad). GOOD NEWS With stiffer carry-on rules in place, passengers are looking for ways to pass the time when flying. Enter Delta’s new entertainment system.
