New Disney Cruise Destinations

The debut of the Dream seems to have kicked off a wave of Disney cruise news. Last week Disney website Stitch Kingdom announced that three brand new ports of departure have been added to the Disney cruise lineup for 2012: New York, Seattle, and Galveston, TX. Bookings for cruises launching from these new locations started on April 8. This news comes on the heels of the announcement of yet another cruise ship: the Disney Fantasy. Destination: Disney

Last month Disney teamed up with bubbly Travel Channel personality Samantha Brown in order to make a new web series: “Destination: Disney.” So far the eight shorts, all clocking in between three and four minutes, focus on the Disney Dream cruise ship. Each episode of “Destination: Disney, Innovation and Technology,” finds Brown exploring different corners of the Disney Dream, usually concentrating on one of the many technological developments scattered throughout the ship. The Flying Dutchman Makes a Visit to Disney’s Castaway Cay

I know, I know. You’re probably sick and tired of hearing about Pirates of the Caribbean, right? Record-breaking box office, new additions to the theme park attraction and even Pirates themed Happy Meals at McDonald’s. Yada, yada, yada. However, when I first saw the press photos from Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, of a morbid looking ship moored at the shoreline, I couldn’t resist stepping back into the subject of Pirates.
