More Tips on Giving Away your Cash

In my last post I talked about giving away a bit of your cash. Start with a small amount, but do it every month and watch your horizons expand. The principles of giving can be found in every spiritual practice from Christian tithing to Hindi Seva (giving of yourself). Why is giving encouraged? Giving does more for you than for the person receiving, although of course it helps the person in need as well. It helps build our inner strength, character, stretches our compassion, helps us live outside of our selfish selves. In other words, giving is good for us. … Continue reading

Wedding Planning – Kindness is King

Can it really have been back in June when I wrote Register to Give; Not to Receive? It seems a very long time ago indeed. But apparently the kindness trend is on the upswing and what better time to make a commitment to incorporating kindness in your wedding planning. Love them or hate them, that is exactly what Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are doing for their wedding – they want to include acts of kindness in their wedding planning. Jolie is reportedly looking for her wedding dress not in the houses of fashion, but through Goodwill – in order … Continue reading

Shampoo to Help Remove the Shams and Pooh of Life after an Assault.

When a person is raped, they often complain of feeling “dirty” and want to immediately scrub themselves clean. While most of us can immediately understand the emotional and mental health cost of rape, have you ever considered the financial … Continue reading

It’s gotten to the point where organizations are looking for creative ways to merge the celebrity and the cause. Such is the case with the Relix Bands. Relix Bands are crafted by Azu Studios from the used guitar strings of more than 50 … Continue reading
