Look Who’s Hosting “Saturday Night Live”

I’ll give you a few hints: He’s on TV Monday-Friday and sounds as though he is reading rather than speaking (probably because he is). He’s clean cut, intelligent and recently admitted the most nervous he has ever been was when he was standing on the 50-yard line at Lambeau Field during halftime at a recent Green Bay Packers’ game in front of 70,000 plus screaming fans. What Will Katie Wear?

It seems like just yesterday that Katie Couric was bidding adieu to fans on what would be her last day as host of NBC’s “Today” show. Now we are just hours away from her debut in the history making role as the first female solo anchor of a nightly news program. It’s being called it “the most talked-about debut of the fall television season” and CBS couldn’t be happier. Newscast’s New Name

A few weeks ago I blogged about Charlie Gibson’s departure from ABC’s “Good Morning America” and his new appointment as the sole anchor of “World News Tonight.” Now, weeks after beginning his new job, ABC has finally gotten around to changing the name of the newscast to reflect its new anchorman. “World News Tonight” is now officially “World News with Charles Gibson.” “He’s our anchor that’s provided us with stability and momentum, so it’s only right that the broadcast bears his name,” the show’s executive producer said.
