Make Bathing Easy: Prep First!

When it’s my turn to do baths at the cats-only boarding facility, the right preparation makes the work a lot easier. Before I even think about fetching a cat into the grooming room, I make sure I’ve set up the hand-held sprayer, towels, shampoo, nail clippers, and blow dryer. You can do the same thing at home to make grooming much easier! What might you need for bathing a pet? Brushes or combs — you can remove a lot of loose hair before the bath with a quick brushing. The treats came from different manufacturers but had one thing in common: a type of salmonella called Salmonella Thompson. (Kind of sounds like a name from a bad gangster movie, huh?) The treats were … Continue reading

As soon as I’m done here at the computer, I’ll be changing into my bathing suit and rigging up the leashes on the deck to hold the victims in place. Half the fun of summer and an outside bath is playing with the hose water. Moose LOVES the hose water. He loves to bite it. He loves to chase it. He loves to bark at it! I always end up soaked (whether we’re inside or outside for bath time) but that’s really half the fun. Moosie … Continue reading
