The Fitness Blog Week in Review May 6 – May 12

Wow, halfway through May and the summer fitness season is ramping up. We’re going to spend a lot of time over the next few weeks discussing summer fitness including biking, swimming, outdoor sports and much, much more. My daughter is interested in checking out soccer this summer along with her swimming, jazz dancing and gymnastics – what do you and your family have in the way of summer plans? I’d love to hear about it. Sunday, May 6 It can be difficult to get started on a new fitness plan when you are trying to balance a dozen other responsibilities … Continue reading

The Fitness Blog Week in Review for April 14-20

It’s that time of the week and we’re going to take the time to review the week’s articles. It’s been a crazy week and I have some new stories to share for next week, including the fact that I picked up a new bike this weekend! I was fortunate enough to discover one that a friend wanted to sell at a garage sale and instead of being out a hundred for a new bike; I picked it up for just $15! I love a good bargain that lets me pursue my fitness ideals. In the meanwhile, here is our week … Continue reading

In fact, as I sit here and think about it – I can’t seem to remember what I was doing on Wednesday, at least not with any great clarity. Next week, however, we’re going to be busy every day, so get ready! For now, let’s take a quick look at our week in review: The … Continue reading

The Fitness Blog Week in Revew for Jan 20 – 26

What a week it’s been. I battled a cold for three days of it with a relatively high fever that kept me laid up and not performing at my peak. It was also a week that my daughter explored her interest in Hoops for Hearts, we went roller skating and I discovered that while I still remember how, mentally, physically, my body is complaining about the motions and the skating. Still, I have to say that overall – it’s been a great week. This is also our last week in review for the month of January. Check back here in … Continue reading

The Fitness Blog Week in Review for Jan 6-Jan 12

Good morning, it’s a soggy Saturday here. It started raining yesterday and it’s been quite drenching. They are worried about freezing temperatures and there’s every chance we’ll have freezing rain and ice storms today so I have a feeling we’ll be fairly housebound for the weekend. That’s all right; we’ve plenty to do to amuse ourselves. Our daughter got Dance, Dance Revolution for Christmas and it’s time she and I spent some time together dancing our little tushies off. But before we dive into that, here is our Fitness Blog week in review. Saturday, January 6 Personal Fitness Challenge – … Continue reading
