Does Snacking Have to be a Bad Thing?

I was brought up in a world where snacking was the enemy. I remember we were allowed one morning snack and one afternoon snack and it was supposed to be no eating or snacking before dinner. I confess that I have been much more lenient with my own children’s eating habits and since I keep plenty of healthy snacking possibilities around the house, I don’t really worry about snacking—even right before dinner. One of the age-old disagreements in marriage involves whether you squeeze the toothpaste from the middle of the tube or from the end. Poll: What’s A Typical Breakfast At Your House Like?

What did your kids have for breakfast this morning? If you’re like most of the parents in a poll conducted by the Family Education Network, they probably had cereal, milk and juice. According to the poll, 51% of parents say that cereal, milk and juice constitutes a typical breakfast at their house. Okay, I admit, I’m in that 51%, also.
