Preserving Fall Leaves

Fall leaves have such marvelous deep colors. I love to decorate with leaves. They quickly dry out though, and turn brown and brittle. Here’s a way to make them last for a long time. You will need a hammer or rock, a large empty jar or vase, hot water, and glycerin. You can usually find glycerin at the drug store near the lotions. It’s only a few dollars for a small bottle. Let’s Make Bubbles!

You can usually find reasonably priced bubbles at the store, but you can also make your own. It’s fun to do, and if you know hot to make your own, you never have to worry about running out. Use clean, plastic containers with lids to store your bubble solution. Empty plastic spice jars work great, and short, wide-mouthed containers are a good choice for little children. They don’t spill as easily, and the wide opening makes it easier for little hands to insert the bubble wand.
