Single Parent Travels: Behavior Rewards

I understand the idea that you shouldn’t bribe your children, and in some cases I can see the reasoning behind it. I do however believe in giving children rewards for certain things, and in this case, it was rewards for good behavior on our trip. This Little Piggy’s Book of Manners – Kathryn Madeline Allen

It’s hard to explain to children why manners are important. Although, I have to admit, some adults don’t really get it either. This cute picture book by Kathryn Madeline Allen, illustrated by Nancy Wolff (really, I didn’t make that up) tells the importance of having good manners in a way children can understand and accept. We begin: “This little piggy said please and thank you.
