Hurley International Announce Recall of Boy’s Hooded Jackets with Drawstrings

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the manufacturer named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer products. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. Name of Product: Boy’s Windbreaker Jacket with Drawstring Units: About 330 Manufacturer: Hurley International, of Costa Mesa, Calif. Hazard: The jackets have a drawstring through the hood, posing a strangulation hazard to children. In February 1996, the CPSC issued guidelines (http://www.cpsc.gov/CPSCPUB/PUBS/208.pdf) to help prevent children from strangling or getting entangled on the neck and waist drawstrings of upper garments such as jackets and sweatshirts.
