A Hug a Day Keeps the Doctor Away

If this past year has taught us anything, it should be that we need to hug our kids more. Actually, we should hug anyone who means anything to us or needs encouragement. Studies have shown that hugs can improve both our physical and mental health. I challenge us all to get in at least one hug a day, if not more. Have you hugged your spouse today? Did you say, “I love you” to him or her today? Did you give your husband or wife a hug, a kiss, a pat, a squeeze? Did you put your arm around him or her? If not, go find your mate and do any of the above or use any other loving gesture or expression you like to let your spouse know you are thinking about him or her right this minute. Marriage, Kids, and PDA

If you have kids in school, you likely already know that PDA stands for public displays of affection, and that such action is generally forbidden in schools. I can understand it to a point, and the hands-off approach is probably best during the school day. However, when it comes to us married people, there is nothing wrong with PDA. In fact, public displays of affection are healthy.
