Pumpkin Ice Cream Pie

I love pumpkin pie but for some reason, I never think to make it except at Thanksgiving. Now that I have found a recipe that includes ice cream, I will definitely make pumpkin pie more often! Home Of The Ice Cream Sundae

Summertime and ice cream… the two go hand-in-hand. And as luck would have it I actually live less than an hour away from the birthplace of the ice cream sundae. If you can make it to Two Rivers during June for the festivities you can look forward to a host of ice cream related events, including eating contests, old fashioned band concerts, and 25-cent ice cream sundaes. If … Continue reading

Chocolate Ice Cream in a Can

Chocolate Ice Cream in a Can For kids, there’s something really satisfying about making a gourmet treat themselves. Making homemade ice cream is right up there on the list of can’t-be-beat-homemade-goodness, but unless you have an ice cream maker (and even if you do!) it might seem too complicated to attempt. But with a few empty cans and simple ingredients, you can be on your way to homemade chocolate ice cream. My daughter had a mini ice-cream maker for her American Girl doll, and despite its miniscule size, it really worked. I used to be surprised that she wanted to … Continue reading
