On the very day that her new album hit stores, pop singer Jessica Simpson was a no show at numerous critical personal appearances. Simpson’s publicist tells media outlets that the former “Newlywed” is suffering from a case of laryngitis. A “bruised vocal chord” to be exact. It’s Official: The “Newlyweds” Are Now Newly-Divorced

Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey are now officially divorced. Court papers filed Friday state that the pop stars “are restored to the status of single, unmarried persons.” In addition, Jessica’s name is restored to Jessica Simpson (from Jessica Simpson Lachey). Strolling through the check-out aisle today, a headline caught my eye. I’m not usually big on celebrity gossip but I had to do a double-take. It can’t be true.
