Old and Cranky, or Old and Smart?

A new study is making connections between above-average intelligence and disagreeable behavior in the elderly! The study, done by Morgan State University in Baltimore, tested nearly four hundred healthy adults between the ages of nineteen and eighty-nine. The participants had varying degrees of educational achievement, from high school grads to those with graduate degrees. The participants over the age of sixty were divided into two groups: those with average cognitive abilities and those with superior cognitive abilities.
