Dear Baby

A few years ago when my daughter was born, I wrote the following letter and put it into her baby book. Since then, I’ve added notes and other letters periodically to the baby book. Someday, likely on her 18th birthday, I’ll give her these missives and notes. Dear Baby, Welcome, as I write this, you are sleeping soundly and securely in the little bed next to my own. Pictures Capture Milestones

Three walls in my house are covered nearly floor to ceiling in nothing but pictures. There are pictures of family, friends, moments and more prevalently our daughter. As I was making coffee this morning, I leaned back against the kitchen counter and started looking at this wall of fame. The majority of the pictures on the wall track my daughter’s progress from about an hour after she was born to her current age of five.
