Have you noticed the social decay that is happening as families are torn apart and moral values disintegrate? I have definitely noticed that as families have lost their moral identity and homes have been broken that children are the ones that suffer. Teaching Teenagers To Be Sexually Abstinent

In today’s society immorality is common. About 60% of teens in the United States are sexually active. About 34% of teenage girls become pregnant. Only half of these girls will graduate from high school. Each year 25 million teens–about 25%–are infected with a STD. According to the book, Sex Love and You, teens that engage in premarital sex are likely to experience fear about pregnancy and STDs, regret, guilt, lowered self-respect, fear of commitment, and depression. Over the last 40 years society’s morals have been decreasing. Drug and alcohol abuse, violence, and sexual promiscuity have been increasing. There are three key family characteristics that contribute to a teen’s choice to live a moral life: family connectedness, parental regulation, and freedom to express opinions.
