The Jungle Book 2 (2003)

At the end of “The Jungle Book,” we saw Mowgli lured into the Man Village by a beautiful girl with large brown eyes. As we begin “The Jungle Book 2,” we find that her name was Shanti, and she and her family have taken Mowgli in and given him a home. This was a busy week for many of us in the United States with the 4th of July landing squarely in the middle of the week. In 1894, Rudyard Kipling began publishing The Jungle Book based on his experiences in India and the tales that he heard there. The tales follow a boy named Mowgli through a lush and colorful world where animals are anthropomorphic manner to give moral lessons.
