Are Cartoons Scary?

Are some cartoons too scary for toddlers? I have grown concerned because some of the cartoons on “Cartoon Network” seem to be scary. It may be fine for older kids, although I have my doubts, but for toddlers I think it is too scary. Garfield is one of the cartoons that I wouldn’t think would be scary but then found one episode to be frightening to my son. Stars Coming Out for Cancer Telethon

It’s not a major Hollywood awards show, it just looks that way on paper. Meryl Streep, Forest Whitaker, Charlize Theron, Hilary Swank, America Ferrera, Danica Patrick, Josh Brolin, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Aniston, Masi Oka and Lance Armstrong are just a few of the A-list celebrities slated to appear on the upcoming three-network telethon to raise money for cancer research. Learning with Food Network

My co-blogger, Andrea, recently wrote about her kids’ interest in and fun with Animal Planet. Andrea mentioned that she doesn’t feel the need to limit her kids’ access to this channel, or to its parent channel, the Discovery Network. Building a Support Network

When my husband and I were waiting for an adoptive placement, we thought it would be of great benefit to become involved with an adoption support group.
