How are you planning to celebrate the New Year’s tonight? I read somewhere, once that sleeping through the turning of the clock at midnight is bad luck. Not entirely sure why that would be in the modern day, when the New Year was celebrated at Samhain (Halloween), the night when the veil between this life and the next are considered to be at their thinnest – I suppose staying awake to honor all of those who passed before and to celebrate the turning of the year – that might have produced bad luck to forgo that ceremony.
