E3 Gaming Rumors

Gamers everywhere are anticipating all of the new offers in the gaming world that will be announced at the E3 Media and Business Summit in Los Angeles. I’ll discuss which rumors have been confirmed, which have been denied and which are still anyone’s guess. There is everything here from a price decrease in a major video game system to the highly anticipated possible release of a new Halo game. There are major changes in the conference from last year. It is now by invitation only, reducing the crowd expected from 60,000 to 5,000. Last year, more than 400 game companies … Continue reading

Wii Love Bowling!

This past Christmas, we got our daughter a Nintendo Wii. I’ve actually been interested in getting one for more than a year, but besides being among the hardest to find game systems out there, it was also a little more of an expense than I felt like I needed to devote to myself, but after we got one for our nephew as a huge family gift, my daughter went crazy for it. If it comes down to a contest, well – I may launch one just for that reason next week. Let’s see how it goes. In the meanwhile, let’s dive into a couple of letters I got over the weekend. Arguing Over the Game Console Dear Heather, You wrote an article about the Nintendo Wii and my husband and I have been having an argument about whether or not to get … Continue reading

Wii Can Do It

Did you hear all the hullabaloo about the new game consoles that became available in the last couple of months of 2006? One of those gaming consoles as labeled Wii (pronounced ‘we’). The Nintendo Wii utilizes wireless controllers that take advantage of all the bobbing about most game players indulge in when they are playing a video game. In fact, it’s always been something of a joke in our household that leaning hard right when you are playing a driving game doesn’t really help your game playing. We just do it because our bodies know that is the motion we’re … Continue reading
