Fitness Journal – Take It To The Park

It’s back to the park today and for good reason. The park is a great place for the kids to go and play – they need the outdoor time and to be honest – this hasn’t been the summer for outdoor playtime. There’s been so much rain (11 inches in June) and 44 days of consecutive rain showers. Fitness Journal – Lucky Day?

Was today a lucky day for you? I know it wasn’t what I would call a phenomenally lucky day for me. But then I’m not prone to looking at days as ‘lucky’ or not. We got up early and went to the park because for once, it wasn’t raining – go figure. We had 44 days of consecutive rain and while it doesn’t rain all day, the storms tend to make it muggy and unpleasant outdoors. Fitness Journal – Steady As She Goes

It’s a holiday today and we’re heading out as a group to spend the afternoon together. First and foremost, hit the treadmill for a 15 minute mile. That’s right, we’re doing a 15 minute mile this morning. Primarily, I’m concerned with the heavy duty workout I did last night trying to curb my own frustration. Because I didn’t want to over train, I set the timer on the stopwatch for 15 minutes and poured it on. I kept the pace comfortable and monitored my heart rate.
