Pizza Hut is introducing a new hand-tossed crust. In order to get the word out, they’re offering a large hand-tossed crust with any toppings for $10.99. Yes, that means your husband can have a Meat Lover’s pizza (enough meat to feed a village!) for only $10.99. And I can get the veggie pizza loaded with good stuff for $10.99. Getting a Bargain at Chuck E. Cheese’s

Call me a glutton for punishment, but I actually like to go to Chuck E. Cheese. When I was younger and living in Silicon Valley, we’d head on over to the Tully Road CEC and play for hours. It’s huge! Three different levels are segregated so that most of the toddler-friendly activities are on the bottom, and most of the teen games are up top. We’d go in, coupons in hand, and play for hours for about $5 apiece. Things have changed some since then (mainly the prices!), but Chuck E. Cheese can still be a bargain. It just takes … Continue reading

Does Pizza Count as Diet Food if it’s Low-Fat Cheese?

I’m being facetious with the title. I haven’t met a pizza yet that would qualify as diet food. They sure are good, aren’t they? My favorite is Garlic Chicken with a white sauce. Most kids love cheese or pepperoni. Did you know that pizza is the most popular food in America? Three billion pizzas a year. As a whole, we eat 350 slices per second. All that pizza uses two billion pounds of mozzarella cheese. That’s billion – nine zeroes. No wonder California cows are happy. They’re in no danger of being out of work! If you’re among the 93% … Continue reading

What could be better than a pizza casserole? It combines two food items I absolutely love – pizza and casseroles. And I almost always find that any recipe that includes the word “casserole” is not only delicious, but also easy to make. When I saw this recipe at AllRecipes.com, I knew it was something I had to make. Hello Sunday dinner! Real Pizza

There’s a new guy where I work who comes in about 10:30 a.m. “Tomorrow I’m bringing in pizza for breakfast,” he announced at the end of his shift one day. I eat breakfast around 7:00, and since I’m like a baby and need to eat every two or three hours, that sounded wonderful to me. I was especially excited because in my brief conversations with Bryan, I knew he was a food lover like me. I mentioned how much I loved mushrooms when he said it would be a mushroom pizza. I told him about a meal I had at … Continue reading

Pita Pizza

I saw this recipe recently and it looked delicious—simple, too. What better combination is there? It’s a mix between a Greek pizza and a Mediterranean Pizza. The pita makes for a thinner crust, while the flatbread (whole pita bread that doesn’t have a pocket) makes for a thicker crust. When I saw the recipe, it was made on pita bread, but I have to tell you, I’m partial to flatbread. So decide what works best for you and give this recipe a try. Mix up the toppings any way you’d like. Any way you assemble this, it looks delicious! For … Continue reading
