More Fun with Playing Cards

You and your kids can make your own set of playing cards. Instead of the typical face cards you can make up your own ideas. Clip pictures from magazines, use inexpensive boxed sets of greeting cards for different holidays (just cut the covers off and use them), try some clip art, or use family photos as face cards for a personalized deck. Make Your Own Card Games

Instead of using regular playing cards to play games like Go Fish, and inserting the joker to play Old Maid, have fun making your own sets of cards and then playing with them! You will need to make 52 cards so make sure you have plenty of supplies before beginning. Poster board is inexpensive and works fine.
