The Rescuers (1977)

Bernard the mouse is the janitor at the Rescue Aid Society, an organization comprised entirely of mice and dedicated to the rescuing of prisoners, wherever they may be. Representatives from all over the world join together at meetings of this group and divide the assignments between them, forming a highly effective task force. You wouldn’t think so much could be accomplished by a bunch of rodents, but then, you underestimate! Penny is a little orphan girl who has been kidnapped by a crazy woman named Medusa who is in search of a giant diamond. This diamond is down a hole … Continue reading

Rescue a Child

It’s Christmas Eve and we are putting the children to bed. Last night, one of our grown children stayed at the house and let my wife and I go to a late movie. We went to see the new Will Smith movie titled The Pursuit of Happyness. It’s a good movie that I would recommend about a man who went from being homeless to very successful. Yes, I know that “happiness” is misspelled; you will understand when you see the movie. But this is not a movie review. We needed a little rest and relaxation. Child Neglect: An Update

Yesterday, I reported that two young girls had been found aimlessly walking the streets. The children, one and two years old respectively, were naked. Police picked the girls up. The mother, who is 25 years old, suffers from extreme depression and seems to be unable to take … Continue reading

For a woman alone in a car you should never pull over for an unmarked car. Police have to respect your right to keep going to a safe place. You do need to acknowledge them by putting on your hazard lights or you can call *677. The following … Continue reading

A Story About Kai (Part II)

After we decided to make Kai a part of our family, it was necessary to schedule another vet visit. I give nothing but high marks to the veterinarians at Banfield Pet Hospital in Garland. They provided numerous services to help me take care of this newly found dog. Because of how badly he’d been treated, they gave me a lot of discounts because Kai needed a lot of stuff done. I put Kai on the medical plan they offer that reduces cost and they cut costs for me. We scheduled his shots and to have him spayed. The cryptoid required … Continue reading
