Seeing Santa

Today was special. It was the date of the annual Christmas party at our bank. They do a nice job and everybody shows up for the celebration. There’s just something about small towns at Christmastime that make you feel right at home. Everybody knows everybody else and it’s like old home week at the bank. Holiday Scrooges: No Santa For Kindergarteners And Problems For Pancake Lovers

SANTA BAN Kindergarteners in Vienna, Austria won’t be getting a visit from Ol’ St. Nick this holiday season… at least not at school. Local officials are banning Santa from city kindergartens and the reason why may surprise you. City leaders say it’s not because of religious reasons; rather the reason the chubby elf won’t be making an appearance is because city officials say he sends the wrong message to children, who are told not to accept gifts from stranger. Is Santa Real?

Tuesday Tyler came home all excited because Santa was going to call him. At first I didn’t understand what he was talking about until he pulled a form from his folder and gave it to me. The form needed to be filled out by parents and then returned to the school. The school then sends the completed forms to an organization that will make calls to kids allegedly from Santa.
