Fun with Flying Discs!

It was a gorgeous day, and the kids were bored. School’s out, and our family vacation wouldn’t be for another week. “Can we go to the park, Mom?” they whined. We found a shady spot with lots of trees, spread out a blanket and ate sandwiches. Then we opened up a package of Kever Flying Discs that I bought several days ago. And that’s when the fun began. These discs are so entertaining, we played with them for hours. All the kids loved them, but especially Kyle, who typically refuses to join in with throwing and catching activities. His lack … Continue reading

Take Me Out to the Water Park

A favored activity between my husband and my daughter is to go the water park. The hotter the summer, the more glorious the time spent in the water at the water park. From the wave pool to the giant slides to floating down the lazy river – a water park can make a day in the Texas heat tolerable. Drought Conditions When we were growing up, slip and slides were all the rage and so was dashing through the water sprinklers. Being wet in the sun and the heat does a lot for cooling you down. Currently, we are in … Continue reading

Summer Fun – Say Yes to a Trampoline

A funny thing happened to me today, I went to a website that featured an elephant on a trampoline. After I got done snorting my coffee up my nose and recovering from the following choke and laugh – that guffaw aside – I was doing research on trampolines. You remember the trampoline, right? The big round thing that you can bounce on like mad and your kids get a big giggle out of and you get even more in the way of laughter when their hair stands straight up from the generated static electricity? I thought you might. A trampoline … Continue reading
