Taking Pictures of Sick Kids

This blog was inspired by a recent series Valorie did in BABY about the emotional strain of having your child end up in the NICU. Snapping Frameworthy Shots Of Your Kids

We have been experiencing record high temperatures in our neck of the woods. Last week we were back in the 80s—-that’s 20 degrees warmer than normal for this time of year. Naturally, this led to all kinds of excitement around our home. My daughter and I spent the majority of the week outdoors. Snap Happy Parents Unite!

In a previous blog I revealed that I might be a tad overzealous when it comes to snapping pictures of my daughter. I’m not nearly as snap happy as some parents, but needless to say, there are some days when I seriously consider constructing an additional room just to accommodate all of the albums, photo storage boxes, and picture frames I have filled with my daughter’s photos. Snapping Keepers Of Your Kids

Taking pictures of your kids is one thing… finding ones that are worth keeping is an entirely different story… at least in my home. I’ve taken thousands of pictures of my daughter. I’m not kidding—thousands. Of those, I’d estimate only about half are worth showing off. To say photographing children can be a challenge is an understatement.
