Television Shows: Renewed, Cancelled, and in Limbo

Are you wondering if your favorite television show is going to be renewed? Most networks still have until late May to make a final announcement of their fall lineups, but here are some of the shows we know we will or won’t see again. Some of the ABC shows that have officially been renewed are “Brothers & Sisters,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Lost,” “Private Practice,” and “Ugly Betty.” There had been fear by fans that “Ugly Betty” would be cancelled after ratings dropped in season 3. NBC actually renewed “Friday Night Lights” for two more seasons, despite the fact that … Continue reading

Get Ready for the Fall Television Season

After a long wait (especially for some fans), the fall television season is finally upon us. Starting next week, the networks are going to be rolling out some fan favorites and some new, exciting shows. Last night, we saw a commercial for “Heroes” and it mentioned it was returning after a nine month wait. My husband commented how that was like waiting on a baby to get here. (For those of you who haven’t taken a cruise before, that means it’s just you and the boat out on the open water. You don’t stop at any ports.) The first cruise we took (a short one … Continue reading

The Amazing Race and Your Marriage

Last night one of my all time favorite shows kicked off a new season: The Amazing Race. This show appeals to me because of the adventure, the sights, and the tasks Racers have to complete, but it also grabs me on another level. The human level. Watching how people, especially the dating and married couples, interact with each other entertains me most. We’re Not Alone I remember watching the first season with Wayne and cracking up at a couple trying to follow directions to the next clue box. First they started out just bickering, then it escalated into hollering and … Continue reading
