When I wrote A Terrible Month for Tigers at the end of last month I really didn’t know what to make of the tiger escaping from its enclosure at the San Francisco Zoo. I hated to think the zoo was at fault, and was inclined to believe they weren’t. I mean, zoos go to a lot of trouble to make sure those enclosures are safe. …horse with a zebra? Or a lion with a tiger? Would you believe new animals? (Nope, I’m not kidding!) A Horse is a Horse, Of Course, Of Course, Unless It Is a…Zorse? I can’t remember where it was I first saw the image of the zorse. I believe someone sent me an email with a picture of one.
