I was reading an article about new traffic sensors being put up in major cities across America (most notably, Washington DC and San Francisco.) These sensors operate by taking a reading of the traffic level every thirty seconds. They are solar-operated, so these devices are not a strain on our already overworked power supply. How many times have you been pulled over by a police officer? What’s the most bizarre violation you’ve ever been ticketed for? It may be hard to top the one a New York man recently received. According to New York City’s traffic office, the Orange County resident ran a red light on Manhattan’s West Side… in his rowboat. Police say the man was issued a $50 traffic ticket in the mail for running the light in December.
