What do you live for?

We all live for something, so what is it you find that excites you in life? Is there something you would drop everything for on a daily basis to do? All I can say is I’m glad I was permitted to write for Families.com’s Christian blogs, because I tend to drop other things in my day to share my thoughts here. Though what I’m studying and writing may be pleasing to God and building my own faith, it shouldn’t compete with direct devotional time with Him. Vanity

So many work hard to outdo and outshine. For some reason there is so much focus on vanity around us. You see it on the cover of magazines and on television. It wasn’t too long ago that I felt like I wasn’t worth much without the designer labels, big house, the high-end designer handbags, designer jewelry, high end wristwatches, luxury cars… I even had to wear expensive make-up. Being Content

The American Heritage Dictionary gives one definition of contentment as, “The state of being contented; satisfied.” Do we ever really feel satisfied? I’ve seen people who appear to have a comfortable living but seem very discontented.
