Year End Savings in January

Many people think once the year is over, and December is gone that the sales and savings stop. This is simply not true. Most stores are in a massive inventory reduction mode to get rid of all the old product. This is not exclusive to discount chains. Closing Out the Year

For those of us who operate our home businesses on a calendar year schedule (instead of an otherwise defined “fiscal year”) we are in the final quarter of yet another year. With only a couple months and a handful of days to go before the end of 2007, it is time to think about tasks and planning to wrap up another year. Ending the School Year: Or Not

In a recent previous post, I spoke about ending the school year after a period of review and testing. I also mentioned that there have been years when we have not ended the school year and instead slipped into what we call “summer mode homeschooling. During summer mode homeschooling, we focus solely on areas where the children need extra help. This may be spelling, multiplication tables, word problems, or reading comprehension. Ending the School Year: Our Review Process

Many homeschoolers at this time of year are finding that the entire homeschool curriculum for the year has been covered, and it is time to end the school year. However, at what point do you officially call it done until you put away the teaching materials until next fall?
