Looking for a new way to gain scrapbook inspiration? Stacy Julian, editor of Simple Scrapbooks Magazine, has teamed up with some talented ladies to bring online scrapbooking class to you at Big Picture Scrapbooking. Now you can improve your scrapbooking skills from the comfort of you own home and take the class at whatever time is convenient for you.
There are currently six different classes being offered. All of the classes include tasks or assignment given to you via email. You are also given access to a class gallery were you and your “classmates” can share ideas.
Stacey Julian is teaching two different classes. The first class is free! The lessons guide you to create a mini accordion album about yourself that fits into a small tin. You download the list of supplies and instructions.
The second class taught by Stacey Julian is titled “A Library of Memories” and focuses on helping you develop an organizational system for you photos and then use the photos to create meaningful layouts. This is a twelve-week course where you will receive weekly email, a class syllabus, three chats with Stacey, downloadable class worksheets and more. If you struggle with the guilt of not having everything “caught up,” this is the class for you because it will help you feel like you are back in control and you can start having some scrapbooking fun again. The cost for this class is $85.
Donna Downey, author and contributing editor to Simple Scrapbooks, is teaching a class called All Week, All Year that will have a variety of projects including layouts, home décor, albums and more. You can sign up for one month of her class for $25 or three months for $64.50.
Kolette Hall, owner of Memories Complete is teaching a class where you will complete a mini album using coasters. How fun is that? I have noticed Kolette’s work in several magazines and it is always so beautiful. I’m sure this project will be great. This class is two weeks long and costs $10. You can’t beat that price. You do have to buy your owns supplies, but with some creativity, you may be able to find most of the supplies in your own scrapbook stash.
The last two classes that are offered right now are about color selection and another on recording you childhood memories.
They have registration deadlines for each class and they offer different classes at different times, so check their website for the most current information.
