Taking Time to be Thankful

I have two of the best co-bloggers I could want. Stephanie Romero and Sara Berthiaume provide intelligent, insightful and relevant content about the ins and outs of home business. Often I find our minds are on the same subject and our posts naturally complement each other. When our posts are not on the same subject we tend to round out the home business section making it a great resource for beginner and veteran home business professionals. We honestly do this without trying. We are simply three women with a passion for working from home and sharing it with others even if it means sharing the ugly parts. I am privileged to be working with them.

I say all that because there comes a time when you need to stop and pause. You need to reflect on the blessings you have in your business. The years go by quickly and are filled with trying to get as much done as you can in a day. Kind thoughts are buried under to-do lists, projects, and making or avoiding phone calls. We all have fleeting thoughts of gratitude toward a client, co-worker or partner but rarely put that thought into action. How often do you thank those in our lives who contribute positively to our business, growth, and accomplishments? How often do we thank colleagues for their support or for making a working environment pleasant, even if our environment is virtual? It is easy to forget the “virtual” part of our business when so much of our time is demanded.

Over the past year, I have had trials and successes. I have been blessed and most of the blessings I have are due to the people placed in my life. Those who make working harmonious, fun, and challenge you to grow. I started out as someone who had no idea what HTML was or how to “blog” to someone who now gets paid to blog. This blessing did not come without people.

Before the new year begins, take a moment to send a special thank you to those who helped you succeed in your business.
