There are two things that parents are going to hear their children say, over and over again, on a typical family vacation. The first one is the question: “Are we there yet?” The second one is the lament: “I’m hungry!” Parents that want to save a few bucks while feeding their families this Summer should check out these deals.
Most of my family vacations, when I was a child, involved things that I think most families experience when they load up the car, and drive far away, in search of the perfect vacation destination. The second you are all packed, and have managed to get everyone into the car, someone will complain that he or she needs to use the bathroom. Billboards for fast food places suddenly start looking like an excellent place to make a pit stop after you have been stuck in a car for countless hours.
Here are a few of the current deals going on at many of the fast food places you will encounter.
Starbucks will give you a free tall beverage (12 fl. oz.) of your choice when you buy any flavor of Starbucks VIA Iced Coffee packs from the Starbucks store. This deal is designed to bring your attention to the new Caramel flavored VIA iced coffee. This deal is good through July 17, 2011.
Carl’s Jr. has a bunch of coupons that you can print out from their website. One coupon will give you $1.00 off the price of a Strawberry Banana Smoothie Shake. This coupon is good through September 8, 2011.
Another coupon gives you $1.00 off a Hand-breaded Chicken Fillet Sandwich. That coupon is also good through September 8, 2011.
There is also a coupon that will give you a medium sized Coke Zero drink for free when you purchase any of Carl’s Jr.’s Charbroiled Turkey Burger sandwiches. This coupon is good through August 7, 2011.
Burger King has the BK Single Stacker sandwich for $1.00 right now. You can also get a Frozen Coke for $1.00, or a Frozen Cherry Drink for $1.00. From what I can tell from the website, there are no coupons required for these deals.
McDonald’s is still offering a printable coupon on its website. The coupon is “Buy One, Get One Free”. It can be used on any size Frozen Strawberry Lemonade, Frappe, or Real Fruit Smoothie. For the best deal, get two drinks that are the same size, (otherwise you will end up getting the least expensive one for free). This coupon is good until July 31, 2011.
Denny’s is doing a “Tour of America”. Every day, starting today, July 15, 2011, Denny’s is going to randomly select one of the fifty states. Today, Denny’s picked the state of Maryland.
If you happen to be in Maryland, or driving through it, you can print out a coupon. The coupon is a “Buy One, Get One Free” on a “Tour of America Item”. The coupon for Maryland is good through July 20, 2011. Check the Denny’s website every day, and eventually, a coupon for your state will appear.
