Ten Reasons I Hate Dieting

.Temptation: I rarely crave sweets unless I am dieting. All of a sudden I am tempted by all sugar treats and high carb foods.

.Feelings of Failure: Just missing breakfast makes me feel like I have failed. I don’t handle failure well. It makes me want to give up and get a fresh start. That is a dangerous attitude.

.My late night ice cream appointment: I do not crave sweets but often I enjoy a nice bowl of ice cream while watching a movie on Netflix. That really isn’t wise when dieting. Late night snacking unless it is on ice cubes is not the best idea.

.Finding time to work out: My days are full with kids, work, cleaning, and homeschooling. Finding time to work out can be difficult and leads to many missed work out days.

.Accountability: Sometimes one needs accountability and sometimes one gets tired of being held accountable. Oddly neither come at the right time. Inevitably, when I need the extra tug no one is tugging. However when I am in the mood to just not worry about I hear “Aren’t you on a diet?”. Perhaps that is the time I need it most.

.Cooking for my family: My family is not on a diet and they have no interest in eating like they are on one. So I cook to please them and end up eating things not on my diet. Who wants to cook twice?

.Eating at a restaurant: Eating out can be a huge challenge when watching your weight. Not many restaurants have nutritional information on the menu or offer light meals.

.Workout clothes: I always feel fatter in workout clothes. Either I wear clothing a bit too tight to wear in public of a huge tee shirt and shorts. Regardless, I look like silly.

.Parties, events, and birthdays: Gatherings always include high fat or sugary foods. You almost have to eat before you arrive just to avoid breaking your diet.

.Tasteless diet food: I love veggies and salads but packaged diet food and diet frozen food, while convenient, is normally tasteless.
