As Thanksgiving is approaching, I’ve been reflecting on all the things that I’m thankful for. Since Families.com has given me the opportunity to blog for them, I’ve begun experiencing so much blessing and growth in my spiritual life. Thank you Families.com for giving me a space here to share my heart and love for others through my blogs.
I am a stay-at-home-mom. Being my husband was the only one employed; it meant there wasn’t as much play money as there used to be. When Lisa offered me a blogging position, it meant not only getting a few extra dollars for enjoyment or emergencies, but an opportunity for me to grow as a Christian. Since writing, it has forced me to dust off my bible (so to speak) and seek inspiration from the Lord and His word.
I’ve also enjoyed gaining new insight from others on Families.com’s forums. Hearing other views here has helped me to better examine myself to know why I believe how I do. I am much more aware where other people’s points of views are coming from.
This site truly seems to be a place run by people with a love for families and a genuine appreciation for those who come here to connect with others. I have met Christians here of various sects. Some believe how I do, some do not, but I enjoy so much searching with them for truth.
I also am thankful for my fellow bloggers here who have contributed to my blogs by providing great information that is worth linking into my writing. As well, I am appreciative to those who chose to use any of my blogs to link into theirs.
So in addition to the many other things in my life that I’m thankful for (my husband, our boys, my parents, siblings and everything God has done for us), I just wanted to say Thank you Familes.com for giving me this opportunity.
I hope everyone here has a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving.
