When I start up my laptop each morning, I am greeted by classic Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet and Tiger, playing in the leaves. It is a festive way to begin a day or work or have a smile before I check my e-mail. Having a fun desktop is fun, and it also encourages me to keep all of my icons from cluttering the desktop. I write somewhere between 90 and 120 articles a month, and I tend to save them all to my desktop for a few days before filing them away in their proper places. But I could never cover up Pooh Bear’s face now could I?
If you are looking for a nice Thanksgiving-themed wallpaper, you’ve come to the right place. There are some really nice ones out there. Here are my top picks.
Three different Winnie-the-Pooh and friends wallpapers can be found by clicking here.
There are also some skins available, as well as complete desktop themes, although clicking on the themes will send you away to another site, where you will have to hunt for your themes. I recommend that you just pick up a wallpaper here.
For a more sophisticated Thanksgiving desktop, you might prefer this very nice cornucopia that is photo-realistic and looks as if it could be laying on your Thanksgiving table. There are two sizes available. The 1024×768 version can be found here.
And the 800 x 600 version can be found here.
Both versions have some bit advertising the creators, the duck tape club.
Cingular offers this very pretty patterned desktop wallpaper that is complete with leaf forms, and the little Cingular guy. I like this desktop because of the nice homey country feel. There are two versions to download. The downside for this one is that the download is not compatible with a Mac. You can find this desktop by clicking here.
There is a wide range of Thanksgiving-theme desktop wallpapers at this next website. There is everything from the whimsical, such as the turkey expressing surprise at being fattened up, to some very nice old fashioned images. Different resolutions or offered, and there are no complicated downloads. To visit this website, click here.
