I have always been a strong Christian, and up until more recently, I hadn’t really included any of that in my scrapbooks. Why? I’m not exactly sure.
Christianity is a huge part of who I am. My church is definitely a home to me and lately we’ve been so active up at church with events, I have spent far more time concentrating on layouts about who I am as a Christian.
I feel it is important to include more than just the events, but also to detail your journey as a Christian, details about your church, minister or priest, etc. In fact, any religion should be remembered and detailed.
For me, I was raised Catholic, but made the choice when I had my own family to join a non-denominational Christian church and it has been the perfect choice for me. I have spent time journaling about how I got where I am and why I made the choices I made.
My father converted from Judaism to Catholicism, for my mother back when I was still a baby. He died a Catholic and was strong in his faith, especially near the end.
All of those things are the things I want to include in my scrapbook for my children to understand. I want them to detail who my parents were, who I was before them and who I am with God in my life now.
While working on some of my pages I came across some really cool ABC Bible Verses that would be perfect for an album about your faith. Or you could just include them on your layouts on various subjects.
Hope you enjoy!!
