The Baby Blog Week in Review – Tally for the End of November

We’ve been a little crazed here in the Baby Blog and we’ve been short on articles and for that you have my apologies. We’ll be picking the slack back up this month, but in the meanwhile, I wanted to give you a rundown of the last few days to cover some of the articles that you may have missed.

In What if I Don’t Get a Baby Shower? we offered some suggestions in how to hostess your own or let your family and friends participate in getting you what you need for your new baby if you don’t get a baby shower. In Holidays, New Babies & What Kind of Mom am I? I shared some personal observations from the holiday season six years ago when my daughter was born and how exhausted I was by Christmas.

In Holiday Stress & Your Baby we looked at how hard the holidays and holiday handling can be on your baby and what you can do to make it easier for both of you. In Great Book Ideas for Babies & Toddlers we looked at some good gift ideas for your little ones and what we liked about these books. In Why I am Thankful to be a Mom I listed the personal revelations and changes I went through as a mother and why I am most profoundly thankful for them.

Valorie offered some great advice and tips on how to Storing and Using Frozen Breast Milk. We learned a touching and compelling tale in Babies in the News: Heart on the Sleeve Has a Whole New Meaning about the little boy born with the heart outside his chest and how doctors repaired it to help him live a mostly normal life.

Is My Baby Developing Properly? is a challenging question that all moms ask themselves. In The Outrage over the Breast we revisited a topic that Valorie covered in The ‘Breast’ in Breastfeeding and the craziness that ensued over the cover of Baby Talk magazine that showed a beautiful infant nursing at his or her mother’s breast. Finally, if you need tips on Inviting Siblings to Share in the New Baby we have them here for you.
