For my next few blogs, we are going to be looking at the benefits to a variety of exercises. This may help you decide which ones are worth doing.
In this blog we are going to talk about the benefits of cardio. Most of us associate cardio exercises with losing weight. However, it’s beneficial for other reasons which I will talk about.
Cardio can definitely help with weight loss. Depending on whom you ask, some experts recommend 30 minutes of moderate intensity cardio exercises five days a week. The more you do however, the more weight you will lose. So if weight loss is your number one goal, then you definitely want to do a lot of cardio.
Like I said, there are other benefits to it. Ever since I introduced this into my fitness routine a month ago, I have noticed that my body doesn’t ache like it used to. I was always dealing with tension in my neck and backaches. Most of this has to do with my working at a desk for several hours a day.
I experience a lot less aches and pains ever since I implemented cardio into my fitness regimen. I feel better overall, having more energy. There is just something invigorating about a cardio workout that stays with you even after you are done.
Cardio has a lot of health benefits as well. It’s good for your heart. Some experts even say that it will improve your emotional health, with less depression and anxiety being experienced.
Not only does it give you more energy when you need it but you also sleep better at night. And it can really help in reducing stress. In fact, it’s a great stress-buster.
I don’t always look forward to my cardio workout. But once I get started, I am suddenly pumped and really enjoy it. I always feel good about myself when it’s done, too.
Hopefully you have learned enough about the benefits to cardio that you will give it a try.
