As a member of the church, I often think about the choices that I make each day. I wonder if my choices make a difference to anyone besides myself, but I know that I have a peace that goes with me as I strive to live the gospel fully. Additionally I know that others notice this peace and often comment on it.
The way I live my life is one way that I bear my testimony each day. No one sees that I read my scriptures at home or that I say my personal prayers. But people do see the way that I treat others. They hear the words that I say when I am being kind and when I am angry. They see the priorities that are in my life. And through these things, I hope they see my testimony.
Sometimes it is easy to be worried about the big things. The things that are constantly under scrutiny, but often the little things make a big difference as well. For example since I choose to dress modestly every day, it is not a conscious thing or a big deal to me, but I have had friends, who do not belong to the church, comment on my modest dress in a positive manner.
Being open about attending church and its importance in my life has opened many discussions about church and religious beliefs. I have felt blessed that I could bear my testimony and answer questions, but these opportunities would not have arisen if I had not lived the gospel fully.
I have had friends in my life who have touched me through their example in friendship and love. Each of these people have been an example when I needed one the most. I am grateful that they were not afraid to live the gospel and to share their testimonies with me, when I needed to be strengthened.
