The Diaries of Anna Nicole

Come now, did you really think the whole Anna Nicole Smith thing was going to die down after her autopsy results were announced? Just when it seemed that maybe, just maybe the only thing left to cover was Dannielynn’s paternity, someone comes up with two Anna Nicole diaries.

It looks like no one will give Anna Nicole any rest, even in death. The diaries, in addition to other Anna Nicole memorabilia will be auctioned off in a couple of weeks by Heritage Auction Galleries. These diaries, from the early 90s, cover many personal aspects of her life including her issues with weight and her marriage to husband J. Howard Marshall II. In one diary, Anna Nicole talks about how she is stressed out and depressed and that makes her keep eating, even though it makes her feel like a pig. She mentions taking Zandex pills to help her lose weight.

She also talks in the same diary about her relationships with Guess, Inc. CEO Paul Marciano. This relationship resulted in Anna Nicole’s big break – as a model for Guess. But it also hits at a sexual relationship as well as a professional one. Eventually, she replaced model Claudia Schiffer as the company’s primary model for their line of blue jeans.

The other diary talks of her marriage to Marshall, an oil millionaire who was 63 years older than she was when they married in 1994. She professed her love for Marshall, but also said it aggravated her that he called her 15 to 20 times a day. She also says she hates to see him hurting but if she were to lose him “I don’t no what I’ll do.” She did lose him, in 1995, and at the time of her death, her battle for part of his $500 million dollar estate was still raging on.

These diaries were put up for auction by an unnamed German businessman. He says he purchased them on eBay for more than half a million dollars several weeks ago. According to the director of music and entertainment at Heritage, the diaries will open at a bid of $20,000.
