The Fitness Blog Week in Revew for Jan 20 – 26

What a week it’s been. I battled a cold for three days of it with a relatively high fever that kept me laid up and not performing at my peak. It was also a week that my daughter explored her interest in Hoops for Hearts, we went roller skating and I discovered that while I still remember how, mentally, physically, my body is complaining about the motions and the skating.

Still, I have to say that overall – it’s been a great week. This is also our last week in review for the month of January. Check back here in the fitness blog later for some of our February goals as we discuss what’s coming up next month. Without further ado, here is our week in review:

Clarissa described the struggle she experienced with her son during My Family Meltdown at Family Yoga. Puh-Lah-Teez – Constructive Contradictions discussed the modern workout phenomenon originally favored by dancers. As I Live & Breathe explored why breathing is so important and why it is essential that you learn to breathe properly. I Hate the Way I Look and it’s not a healthy way to get yourself motivated and in shape. You need to like yourself and care about yourself before you can get into better shape because you aren’t likely to help someone you don’t like – even if that person is you. Runners & Cyclists Need Weight Training, Too and there are a number of reasons to include weight training in any exercise program – especially one where you dedicate yourself solely to one activity.
