The ice Shaver: No Abominable Snowman

The SnowmanThe Hamilton Beach Snowman Ice Shaver is in a class all by itself. Unlike the elusive yeti known to hang out on mountain-tops and causes nothing but trouble, this shaver leaves no footprints in the snow and is easily found in most stores for a mere $19.95.

But I already have a blender, you might cry! Well, this is different and the Snowman Ice Shaver is guaranteed to go places no blender would dare to tread. Unlike the coarse, uneven ice chips produced by most household blenders, this ice shaver makes soft and fluffy shaved ice that is extremely consistent and refined with no effort and within just a few seconds. It provides a quick and easy way to make snow cones, slushes, smoothies, sherbets, sorbets and mixed cocktails.

The machine uses regular ice cubes (as opposed to importing them from whoever invented them), and comes with recipes that use ingredients you probably already have in your pantry (eye of newt, skin of toad etc). It comes with 2 molds, which can be used for freezing water, juice, fresh fruit slice and flavored drinks of all kinds. The sharp blade, which is included, knows enough to stay out of the way when the machine is in operation.

So buy one of these the next chance you get. You’ll be the envy of the neighborhood! All you will need for a good time then will be a pool and a party (or maybe just a party). If you have enough drinks, you can make your own pool (and your own party too, for that matter).

But don’t overdo it. Too many snow cones may disrupt the scheme of things on the mountains of Tibet where I hear one abominable snowman is not at all happy about his name being used for a product without his permission.

Happy Ice!
